For my wine-tasting flight, the Sommelier chose local San Diego varieties: a 2018 Carignan and 2014 Malbec from San Diego County, and a 2017 Sangiovese (my favorite of the bunch) and 2019 Petite Sirah from Ramona Valley AVA. The flight was delicious, and I enjoyed it in a private tasting room off to the side.

The sommelier was fun, engaging, and tested my tasting knowledge- I had to name all the aromas and flavors of each wine. He then compared my answers to previous guests’ tasting notes. I always enjoy learning on the scene from trained wine professionals! They all have something different to offer.
