I’m a mom of three, writer, wine educator, community activist, and lifelong lover of wine. I believe wine education should feel inviting—not intimidating—and rooted in culture, curiosity, and joy.

I’m the author of Unpolished Grape 101: The Basics of Wine and Little Black Book of Wine + Food, two approachable guides designed to help everyday wine drinkers build confidence at the table and trust their own palate.

In addition to my writing, I currently serve on the Board of Directors of the Bâtonnage Forum, a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access, equity, and representation in wine education and professional spaces.

Education & Credentials

I hold the WSET Diploma (DipWSET), earned in 2025 through the American Wine School. I completed WSET Levels 1, 2, and 3 with Napa Valley Wine Academy, demonstrating advanced knowledge of grape growing, wine-making, wine theory, and structured wine assessment through blind tasting.

My training grounds my work in rigor—but my goal is always translation: turning complex wine language into something useful, human, and enjoyable.

Philosophy & Interests

Wine has always felt like sunshine in a glass. I love pairing wine not just with food, but with mood, music, and moments. My studies have deepened my appreciation for wine’s history, science, and artistry—and I’m here to share that knowledge in ways that feel accessible and relevant.

Outside of wine, I enjoy building websites, writing about family life on Sassy Plum, cooking, gardening, crocheting, listening to jazz, and I am an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
