J9 Wine Bar, located in the heart of Lincoln Park, Chicago, is a fun trendy bar with an exquisite wine menu, and various wine-tasting events that take place during the course of the year.

Chicago got a taste of Texas when Williams Chris Vineyards hosted a Texas wine-tasting at J9. This winery grows their own grapes and makes their wine on-site. In this tasting, we sampled French Rhone varieties of Muscat, Roussane, Cinsault and Mourvedre as we snacked on cured meats and cheeses. I purchased a bottle of Mourvedre as my parting gift.
